[00:00:05.059] Today, we're going to talk about how you can prepare [00:00:07.209] your users for spring testing with [00:00:09.368] Gale Presents: Peterson's Test and Career Prep [00:00:11.519] My name is Amber Winters and [00:00:13.560] I am your training consultant for the day. [00:00:16.489] So our agenda first, I just wanna go over the very [00:00:18.719] basics of Gale presents Peterson's [00:00:21.048] test and career prep. So if you're not [00:00:23.239] familiar with it, I just wanna give you a basic [00:00:25.359] background before we really dive in. But after [00:00:27.458] that background, we'll take a look at the features [00:00:29.760] you're going to find in our test prep. [00:00:32.609] So just a few different things your [00:00:34.749] users will be able to click through to really kind [00:00:36.929] of capture everyone in whatever learning [00:00:39.018] style they prefer. [00:00:40.569] We'll spend the majority of the time actually walking [00:00:42.758] through our tests though. So we'll see what tests [00:00:44.999] are available where they're found how [00:00:47.118] our users can access them. And we'll also walk [00:00:49.249] through a test. So you can see what that platform looks [00:00:51.277] like as well. [00:00:52.399] And again, if you have questions, you can put them in the [00:00:54.569] Q and A at any time and I'll be able to answer them [00:00:56.668] as we move forward or feel [00:00:58.969] free to wait until the end of the session [00:01:01.130] if you prefer and we'll have time at the very [00:01:03.368] end for any questions as well as some wrap [00:01:05.469] up information. [00:01:08.299] Let's go ahead and get started here. So Gale Presents: [00:01:10.620] Peterson's test and career prep [00:01:12.750] does. As you would expect. first, [00:01:15.209] it prepares your users for exams. [00:01:17.250] So they're going to find practice tests, [00:01:19.349] full courses related to different tests, [00:01:21.659] ebooks and flash cards. They're going [00:01:23.790] to help really all of your learners, [00:01:26.019] whatever level they are. If they're at the secondary [00:01:28.230] school level, if they're at the graduate level, [00:01:30.638] if this is specifically for a vocational [00:01:33.088] test, so they're adult learners, they'll find [00:01:35.198] their prep within this resource. [00:01:37.909] We also include a great foundational skills [00:01:40.510] section. So if you have users coming [00:01:42.829] in who are preparing for an exam but [00:01:45.150] are maybe not quite there yet and need that [00:01:47.219] more beginner information, [00:01:49.299] they'll find some great foundational skills [00:01:51.430] learning that we'll take a look at today. [00:01:53.569] And those are focused in math and science, computer [00:01:55.909] skills, which are great for older individuals [00:01:58.278] who may be getting back in the workforce who may not be [00:02:00.319] familiar with computers or [00:02:02.359] just trying to pick up some new skills. And we [00:02:04.430] also have information related to reading [00:02:06.459] and writing within the resource as well. [00:02:09.308] We're not going to go into this very [00:02:11.490] closely today since we're talking about exam prep. [00:02:13.699] But I definitely want to point out we do have a school [00:02:15.919] and scholarship search in this platform [00:02:18.469] and we have career tools available as [00:02:20.479] well. So a career advice, our online resume [00:02:22.778] builder, as well as different job searching [00:02:25.008] tools. [00:02:26.710] So again, we're talking about spring testing today. [00:02:29.308] So we're really going to be focused on exam [00:02:31.669] prep as our subject. So let's take a closer [00:02:34.258] look at that and see what features we have [00:02:36.520] with our exam prep. So of course, the first [00:02:38.758] one as you would expect is going to be our practice [00:02:41.118] tests and these tests are [00:02:43.229] timed. Your users won't [00:02:45.330] be stopped when time runs out. Some of them [00:02:47.409] are time to show the remaining [00:02:49.419] time. Some of them, they just give you an estimate [00:02:51.580] of how long it took you to take the test. So [00:02:53.838] they won't ever be paused. But [00:02:56.808] users will be able to see how long [00:02:58.969] it took them to take whatever tests. And if they know how [00:03:01.118] long they have, they can kind of fine tune [00:03:03.588] to either maybe take longer [00:03:05.740] if they sped through it or maybe try to speed up [00:03:07.750] a little bit if they took a long time [00:03:10.020] and this information will be saved to user accounts. [00:03:12.528] Remember Gale Presents: Peterson's [00:03:14.580] resources do have named user accounts. [00:03:16.889] So once the user starts a test, [00:03:19.000] they'll be able to go back to it whenever they want [00:03:21.020] to. Once they're submitted, they are [00:03:23.050] automatically graded excluding essay [00:03:25.210] responses. Um Those won't receive [00:03:27.379] a grade, but they'll be able to see samples [00:03:29.639] and examples of what's [00:03:31.860] high quality responses are going to look like [00:03:33.969] and they'll be able to compare their response to that. [00:03:36.860] And many of our tests have more than one [00:03:39.210] practice option available. So they [00:03:41.528] are unlimited use. Users can [00:03:43.729] take the same practice test, you know, 10 times [00:03:45.889] if they feel like they need to take it 10 times. [00:03:47.949] But oftentimes they'll find you know, two [00:03:49.979] different versions of practice tests for the same [00:03:52.129] test. So they'll get those different questions [00:03:54.429] and be able to kind of shake it up a little bit. [00:03:58.038] In addition to those practice tests, a lot [00:04:00.179] of our tests, you have full ebooks that are [00:04:02.219] downloadable. So they'll download to the desktop [00:04:04.409] for your users. So they won't need to have access [00:04:06.849] to the internet to use those. So they'll be able to take [00:04:08.909] them offline. [00:04:10.110] And what's great is they come in an actual kind [00:04:12.389] of ebook design. So they're not just [00:04:14.500] getting this long, you know, html [00:04:16.699] text page that they're supposed to read through. if [00:04:19.119] there are images or graphics or graphs [00:04:21.470] or statistics or whatever it is [00:04:23.649] within that ebook, it's going [00:04:25.678] to download it like that for them. So they'll still [00:04:27.769] get engaging content and they'll have that off [00:04:29.988] the platform whenever they need it. [00:04:32.858] We also have great flash cards for a lot of [00:04:34.920] our tests here as well. These are really [00:04:37.000] nice and quick. So I love these for users [00:04:39.290] who are coming in, you know, saying I have like an hour [00:04:41.730] and I just want to get some quick studying in. What [00:04:43.970] should I do [00:04:45.048] take a look at these flash cards? Just kind of click [00:04:47.259] through these and you can go through as many as you like. [00:04:49.350] If you only have a short amount of time, [00:04:52.980] we're also going to include some different supplemental [00:04:55.410] articles you could see for, [00:04:56.959] I've pulled forward here, tips [00:04:59.149] and strategies for the AC T. So [00:05:01.259] these supplemental articles are [00:05:03.290] going to be a lot of like strategies and things like [00:05:05.309] that, but they'll also find basic test information. [00:05:07.970] So, if they're taking the A [00:05:10.000] P biology test coming up and they have absolutely [00:05:12.309] no idea what it's gonna look like, what to [00:05:14.389] expect what they should do. They [00:05:16.470] can take a look at these supplemental articles to kind of [00:05:18.540] get a better understanding. So they're not as [00:05:20.709] overwhelmed, they're kind of ready to go in that [00:05:22.798] sense. And [00:05:25.178] finally, we also include links to testing [00:05:27.480] websites here as well. So, if [00:05:29.738] this is not something they're doing through school, maybe [00:05:31.790] they need to register on their own. [00:05:34.119] We can link them all over to those websites for [00:05:36.189] this. You'll see, we have the GRE testing websites, [00:05:39.149] and they can click in as a test taker and [00:05:41.209] kind of move forward from there. If they need more [00:05:43.238] information than what we provide or if [00:05:45.319] they want to register for a test, they can do [00:05:47.459] that. Right through Peterson's, we'll direct them [00:05:49.579] to where they need to go. [00:05:54.170] Now, I wanna just dive right into the resource [00:05:56.309] so we can see all of the different tests we have, [00:05:58.619] see how it's going to function for your users. [00:06:00.879] Before I do, I haven't seen any questions [00:06:02.910] in the Q and A but do we have any questions [00:06:04.988] before we dive right in? [00:06:12.028] Ok. I don't see any. We've got a quiet crowd [00:06:14.040] crowd today, no problem. So [00:06:16.338] this is the home page here of Gail presents Peterson's [00:06:18.899] test and career prep and I do just want to [00:06:20.949] pause here. [00:06:22.160] If you have access to Gale [00:06:24.189] presents Peterson's test prep, [00:06:26.259] it's going to look a little bit different than this. You won't have [00:06:28.548] those career tools. And if [00:06:30.629] you have access to Gale presents Peterson's [00:06:32.949] career prep, it will look a little [00:06:35.009] bit different as well. So we have three different resources. [00:06:37.759] We have test and career, we have career [00:06:39.910] and we have tests. So if you're [00:06:41.970] following along and you notice yours is a little bit different [00:06:44.238] than mine, that's most likely why you'll still find [00:06:46.428] great features. It'll just function a little [00:06:48.649] bit differently than what I'm gonna show you today. [00:06:51.790] So first I want to log in, you'll see, I can [00:06:54.019] kind of scroll through and see what's going [00:06:56.059] on in this resource without signing in. [00:06:58.209] But for users to take any tests or [00:07:00.230] use any of the features, they are going to need to have [00:07:02.278] their account. [00:07:05.019] We've got a question here. Are the tests updated to look [00:07:07.298] like the digital SAT starting in 2024. [00:07:11.009] I can check with my product manager. I know [00:07:13.079] we do update frequently. I know there [00:07:15.220] is an SI T update coming. I don't know exactly [00:07:17.410] what it is. The person that you [00:07:19.439] asked that anonymously, if you don't mind sending [00:07:21.480] me an email after the session, I'll get [00:07:23.720] with my product manager and I can give you an exact [00:07:25.928] answer. So go ahead and [00:07:27.959] either ask this non anonymously if you don't [00:07:30.059] mind or send me a direct email once [00:07:32.088] the session ends and I can give the exact answer [00:07:34.199] for you. Ok? [00:07:39.129] So let's go ahead and hit log in [00:07:41.199] or sign up and [00:07:42.250] this blue button here. I've already got an account. [00:07:44.588] So I'm going to use that. I can sign up if I need [00:07:46.829] to. So if this is the first time your users are [00:07:48.889] clicking in, [00:07:49.838] I recommend having them sign up immediately. [00:07:52.119] Don't even scroll through the platform yet. Just [00:07:54.139] sign up first. So they don't need to kind [00:07:56.350] of stop their learning to sign in. [00:08:00.449] There we go. But I already have my account set up here. [00:08:03.059] Now, there are quite a few different ways that we [00:08:05.220] can access our test prep, [00:08:07.290] sections here. So the first one is [00:08:09.319] going to be using the browse menu, which is [00:08:11.358] found either in the Spanner here or [00:08:13.528] at the very top of our page. [00:08:15.720] Clicking into this, you'll see here, this gives [00:08:17.920] kind of a um [00:08:19.858] what your goal is as the first step. So [00:08:21.879] they're going to click in, they want to improve a test [00:08:24.129] score since we're talking about test prep and [00:08:26.358] then you'll see we have some different categories here. [00:08:28.500] So for today, the two kind of major [00:08:30.540] categories we're most likely going to be looking [00:08:32.609] at are going to be high school where they're going to find [00:08:34.840] things like A P testing. [00:08:36.879] If you have someone coming in taking the GED, [00:08:39.840] they'll find that content by clicking into high school [00:08:42.308] and they get kind of this next step here. [00:08:44.869] And I will mention if I have anyone on the line from [00:08:46.940] Texas or Florida, we do have [00:08:49.259] specific sections for [00:08:51.500] some assessments that you take at the state level [00:08:53.580] if you need to for your users [00:08:55.759] to those. [00:08:57.058] And college prep is also listed here. This [00:08:59.239] is where you're going to find the AC T, [00:09:01.298] the PSAT the SAT, all that good stuff, [00:09:04.369] grad school, we have listed here as well. [00:09:06.590] So if we have individuals coming in, planning [00:09:08.639] on taking the MC A T, they can find their information [00:09:11.070] here as well. [00:09:14.639] So in addition to using that browse menu, they can also [00:09:16.940] scroll down [00:09:19.288] and in the middle of the page, this gives them kind [00:09:21.450] of more of an interactive feel [00:09:23.570] and it's really helping them have kind of actionable [00:09:26.019] steps. So they know they need to prepare [00:09:28.279] for an exam. That's the step they need to take, they can [00:09:30.440] click into, prepare for an exam. [00:09:34.048] And just like previously, they just have to narrow [00:09:36.099] it down here. So if they want high school prep [00:09:39.548] again, we have the same kind of bits of information. [00:09:42.058] Maybe they want to take a look at A P testing, [00:09:45.129] theyll be pulled forward there [00:09:47.729] and we have one final way to access the content. [00:09:49.769] And that's if I go back to home and [00:09:52.168] scroll down one more time, [00:09:53.969] We kind of have this expanded [00:09:55.989] look of these different sections. So I like [00:09:58.190] this because it gives a quick view of what they [00:10:00.200] can expect in each section. So previously, [00:10:02.840] they had to click through high school then to see [00:10:05.000] what comes in the high school section. But here [00:10:07.288] you'll see, I've got a high school listed and it's telling [00:10:09.519] me quickly, I'll find some A P, I'll [00:10:11.869] find some different stem tests that I may be taking. [00:10:13.940] If I'm taking an equivalency exam, [00:10:16.200] I can click in here. Same for college [00:10:18.298] prep. It's telling me the different things we're going to find [00:10:20.538] here. I [00:10:22.750] will mention we also have a full Us citizenship [00:10:25.190] test won't go into it too much, but that's found [00:10:27.389] under international. And there is another [00:10:29.619] big one that users are often looking for [00:10:32.558] scrolling under that we have our vocational test [00:10:34.759] prep pulled out separately here. So if they need [00:10:37.019] something related to vocations, they can find that [00:10:39.149] here as opposed to this, improve [00:10:41.369] your test score section [00:10:43.788] and then scrolling down. We're going to get into the career tools [00:10:46.070] that we're not going to look at today, but you [00:10:48.158] do have those down here at the home page as well. [00:10:52.109] So let's go ahead and click in first. We'll take [00:10:54.210] a look at A P. We have a lot of students [00:10:56.379] needing some support with A P testing. So [00:10:58.599] I'm going to click directly here into where it says [00:11:00.690] high school. [00:11:03.428] Now, when you do that, you see it really kind of [00:11:06.369] opens up a huge list of what we [00:11:08.509] can take here. So we'll have all of our different [00:11:10.538] options listed with these little tiles that kind [00:11:12.779] of organize them for us. [00:11:15.840] I will also mention here, we do have GED [00:11:17.849] test prep in Spanish. We have practice [00:11:20.000] tests. So if you have native Spanish speakers [00:11:22.349] coming and looking for support and they're [00:11:24.399] looking to get their GED, we have [00:11:26.460] that listed in this platform, [00:11:29.759] but let's click at advanced placement here [00:11:31.769] and let's just view all of these to see what we have [00:11:33.788] available. As you can imagine. We have a lot [00:11:35.989] because there are a lot of different advanced placement [00:11:38.229] tests, [00:11:39.418] but you'll see here when I have these [00:11:41.590] options, it's going to first give me just [00:11:43.668] the course that I can click into. [00:11:45.619] But next to that I have articles here, [00:11:48.759] this one is specifically related to the college [00:11:50.989] board and things like that. [00:11:52.788] And then we've got an about section here as well. [00:11:54.928] So notice that changes based on the test [00:11:56.989] here, sometimes you'll see books [00:11:59.129] listed, like for a P calculus. It looks like [00:12:01.229] we have a book related to A P calculus. [00:12:03.899] Just depending on what we have for each of the tests, [00:12:06.109] it does vary based on what's published for each [00:12:08.139] test. [00:12:09.509] But your users can go through and find whatever they need [00:12:13.058] and you'll see, I have the option to add to my resources [00:12:15.599] here. What this is going to do, this [00:12:17.678] is going to save it as you would expect to the [00:12:19.690] my resources section which is found in the [00:12:21.700] toolbar, toolbar up top here. [00:12:23.960] So it's kind of like a quick link to get back [00:12:26.250] to this. So if they're going to be taking, let's say the [00:12:28.389] advanced placement biology practice test [00:12:30.450] frequently, you know, if they're coming back [00:12:32.489] through the next few weeks to make sure they're ready for [00:12:34.509] their test, they may want to hit add [00:12:36.750] to my resources. So then they don't need to [00:12:38.889] kind of click through and find it again. They can just go [00:12:41.009] right to my resources [00:12:42.989] if they don't add it to my resources that's [00:12:45.259] fine. They'll still be able to take the test. [00:12:47.330] It'll still save their results [00:12:49.538] to their [00:12:50.859] their account name. [00:12:52.979] It just won't be under my resources. But [00:12:55.369] let's click into a P biology here so we can [00:12:57.469] take a look at how this is all organized for [00:12:59.739] us. [00:13:02.029] And I will mention this does open in a separate [00:13:04.200] tab. You'll see a top here. It opened in a different one. [00:13:06.440] So if they're planning on studying for [00:13:08.489] maybe more than one assessment [00:13:10.710] or maybe they want to have um some [00:13:12.879] test prep pulled up on one, maybe some different [00:13:14.928] strategies on another or some foundational [00:13:17.099] skills videos on another [00:13:19.129] tab, they'll be able to do that and they'll open [00:13:21.359] the the browser for them. [00:13:23.918] But this is what all of the different exam [00:13:26.369] preps are going to look like. So they get on this [00:13:28.418] main page and the content available [00:13:30.859] again is going to change based on the test [00:13:33.389] for our A P exams. [00:13:35.428] The majority of them, you're going to find flashcards [00:13:37.908] and study materials, an introduction that gives [00:13:40.369] just kind of the background about the exam, [00:13:42.629] what to expect things like that. [00:13:44.678] It does oftentimes include instructional [00:13:46.950] videos and then we have our practice tests here [00:13:49.149] as well. [00:13:50.788] So we can click into any of these. Lets just look at flash [00:13:52.899] cards here [00:13:55.058] and you'll see on this left hand side, it's showing us [00:13:57.320] what flash cards we have available. [00:13:59.558] I can click into any of these here, [00:14:03.389] we'll see if anyone remembers their biology. [00:14:05.710] So it's just give me the word and it's [00:14:08.038] really simple, exactly what you would expect [00:14:10.739] for flash cards. So, again, a really [00:14:12.960] simple way [00:14:14.619] to kind of go through and just get [00:14:16.639] that very brief understanding of [00:14:18.869] A P biology. [00:14:21.070] Once I'm done with this here, I can hit my back [00:14:23.340] button in the top left corner and that's going [00:14:25.418] to pull me back to this main prep page. [00:14:29.678] Now, let's go ahead and look at a practice test. So you'll see [00:14:31.779] this one. I've actually already started here. So I've [00:14:33.840] got a few different topics. I've already [00:14:35.859] completed. I know that because I saved [00:14:38.149] it to my account. [00:14:39.149] So I'll click back in here so we can take a look. [00:14:44.158] Let's, [00:14:45.859] we'll do one that I haven't touched yet. So [00:14:48.139] you'll see, I have a check on this first multiple choice [00:14:50.440] because I actually already ran through that and [00:14:52.548] submitted it. [00:14:53.759] So let's go to the second one that I haven't done yet. [00:14:57.548] So it gives me some quick instructions. [00:15:00.668] You have 100 and 20 minutes to complete [00:15:02.899] the exam before you submit your quiz. [00:15:05.158] You want to go back and check to make sure you didn't miss anything. [00:15:07.840] This is going to auto save so they won't need to hit [00:15:10.119] save. So if they do just do a couple [00:15:12.418] questions and then hop off, they [00:15:14.649] didn't lose that content it's going to automatically save [00:15:16.940] for them. [00:15:18.879] And then when I'm ready to go, it's going to tell [00:15:21.000] them to hit start quiz. [00:15:23.320] Once they finish an attempt, they're [00:15:25.349] going to get the grade for that attempt. If they want [00:15:27.500] to start over, they'll just hit start quiz [00:15:29.629] again and they'll get it'll list it as another [00:15:31.908] attempt for them. So they'll be able to take it as [00:15:34.109] many times as they want to. [00:15:36.570] So, let's start with the quiz here. [00:15:44.029] So, on the left side here, they're going to see how [00:15:46.399] many questions they're going to have to answer [00:15:49.320] and then they're just gonna go through and check them. [00:15:52.509] We'll see if I get any right by quick clicking. [00:15:54.558] But you'll see sometimes here they're going to have graphs [00:15:56.779] and things. So we're trying to keep this as close to [00:16:00.340] the actual tests as we possibly can [00:16:03.168] and they can answer all of them. They can answer [00:16:05.250] none if they really want to answer none. [00:16:07.639] it's up to them, they can answer as many as they want [00:16:09.918] to at the top here. This is showing [00:16:12.250] how much time has elapsed. So I've been here [00:16:14.259] for 30 seconds. [00:16:15.859] So again, it's not going to cut me off, [00:16:18.090] you know, once I hit, I think 100 and 20 minutes [00:16:20.330] is how long they have for this section. it [00:16:22.460] won't cut me off at that time, but it's going to tell me, [00:16:24.619] you know, if I went past that time. Then I need to figure [00:16:26.769] out um, how I can speed it up a little [00:16:28.859] bit because on this, the actual test, I'm gonna run [00:16:31.048] out of time. but [00:16:33.288] let's go. So we answered some of those. Let's just call [00:16:35.428] it a day. Let's say this is all I want to answer. [00:16:37.960] I can hit submit quiz here. You'll see. It's telling [00:16:40.190] me that I've only answered eight of 60. [00:16:42.690] That's ok. I'm just gonna sub submit [00:16:44.759] it anyways. [00:16:46.668] It gives me another warning. I haven't answered [00:16:48.719] these questions. My sense is I can [00:16:50.820] actually click right back here. So if I didn't [00:16:53.058] know that I didn't finish question 17, [00:16:55.269] I can click right to it from this page, but [00:16:57.769] I'm not gonna, we're gonna say this is good. [00:17:00.849] So again, I have to say submit quiz again. So [00:17:02.879] we really want to try to make sure they know if [00:17:04.910] they didn't answer all the questions, but we'll [00:17:06.969] submit our quiz here. It's gonna take [00:17:09.059] a quick second to process the results. Of course, [00:17:11.400] if they did finish [00:17:12.739] the entire quiz, it might take a little bit longer [00:17:15.209] to finish that because they're going to have to look [00:17:17.259] through all of those questions. Let's [00:17:19.618] see here. [00:17:21.410] It looks like I actually got a couple right. So you'll see it's going [00:17:23.578] to tell them their score. [00:17:26.088] It's going to tell them the overall grade, [00:17:28.219] which is the highest attempt as well. So if they have [00:17:30.400] attempted this four times. it's going [00:17:32.618] to show them which one they did the, the [00:17:34.640] best on. Of course, I've only taken this once [00:17:36.689] and I got three out of 60 so I got 50%. [00:17:41.000] It's going to show them what the correct answer is and [00:17:43.029] what they chose [00:17:45.219] and then it's giving them feedback here as well. So [00:17:47.229] this, I personally think is really important [00:17:49.500] as your users are taking these if they don't know [00:17:51.630] why they got a question wrong or if they just [00:17:53.769] guessed and they don't know why they got it right. [00:17:56.108] This supplemental information is going [00:17:58.269] to be really handy for them and it's going to pop [00:18:00.338] up on everything. If they got it right or [00:18:02.430] wrong, you'll see here if they got it wrong, [00:18:04.489] they get this little X and it does show them [00:18:06.559] the correct answer. And again, we've got [00:18:08.568] our feedback listed here. [00:18:11.500] They can go all the way through once they're done, they'll just [00:18:13.578] hit done. [00:18:17.439] And now from here they're going to see all of their attempts [00:18:19.818] with this nice little graphic here. [00:18:21.838] Again, I've only taken it once, but I'll [00:18:24.019] be able to kind of pull that forward here to see all [00:18:26.098] of those different grades. [00:18:29.868] And when I'm ready I can click into, let's say I [00:18:31.880] want to take a look at the free response [00:18:34.420] again, free responses aren't going to be [00:18:36.539] graded automatically because we don't, you [00:18:38.588] know, have individuals who are going through and reading these [00:18:40.618] responses, but we can hit star [00:18:42.729] quiz here. [00:18:49.299] No. And you see, it's gonna look the same here. [00:18:51.318] So they'll be able to type this out [00:18:57.000] if they're at using [00:18:59.390] um, like a P calculus or some other math [00:19:01.618] tests. They have some math tools available for [00:19:03.779] them, but [00:19:06.279] theyll be able to go through and type out their answers [00:19:08.328] here [00:19:11.368] and just the same, they're going to submit just like [00:19:13.400] with those multiple choice and then they'll get [00:19:15.660] they'll see sample responses to see [00:19:17.979] you know how their stacks up. If they had some of [00:19:20.118] the same responses, if they had kind of the same [00:19:22.479] layout or formatting, they'll be able [00:19:24.670] to, to take a look at that. [00:19:28.640] Now, I want to jump back here because I want to show you what [00:19:30.789] an ebook is going to look like in this resource. [00:19:32.809] And we don't have [00:19:34.059] any book attached to a P biology. [00:19:36.078] So I want to jump into a different test. But [00:19:38.140] before I do, does anyone have questions just [00:19:40.160] about the formatting of how [00:19:42.250] these tests work? What students [00:19:44.309] should expect anything like that? [00:19:48.789] Ok. I don't see any. So let's [00:19:50.969] go ahead and jump back. I'm just gonna close out of this tab. Remember [00:19:53.338] the test open in a different tab? [00:19:55.868] Just wanted to pull me back here. [00:19:57.549] If I ever want to get back to home. You'll see. [00:19:59.588] I've got a breadcrumb trail up top here. [00:20:01.660] Or I can just hit the Petersons testing career [00:20:03.799] prep banner up top [00:20:05.828] and it'll pull me forward here. [00:20:09.259] Now, let's scroll down again and let's look [00:20:11.400] at a college prep. So we took a look at a high school [00:20:13.989] test. Let's look at our college prep here. [00:20:16.250] You'll see, we have it laid out the same to [00:20:18.459] try to make it as easy as possible for this. You'll [00:20:20.559] find the AC tpsatsat, [00:20:23.529] all that great stuff here. [00:20:25.519] Let's click into AC T [00:20:28.430] I am gonna hit my view all first because I wanna show you, [00:20:32.039] you see for a lot of our standardized tests, we not [00:20:34.229] only have the AC T practice test [00:20:36.509] section, but we also have a full [00:20:38.709] online course. So this is really starting [00:20:40.789] them from the very beginning. [00:20:42.479] They can click into this and it's going to look familiar [00:20:45.250] in the layouts, but it's going to be a little [00:20:47.269] more comprehensive here. [00:20:50.910] You'll see it's going down, going [00:20:53.019] through like basic and advanced grammar, [00:20:55.400] how to write, [00:20:57.459] how to [00:20:58.729] the intro to math, all that good stuff. You'll see, [00:21:00.769] there's, there's a lot for the AC T as you could imagine. [00:21:03.459] But this is a full course that they can click [00:21:05.670] through it. So instead of just getting those [00:21:07.838] practice tests, they can really dig [00:21:09.939] in and start from the, the ground level all [00:21:12.029] the way up. [00:21:15.598] But I do want to show you up top here. So you'll see now [00:21:17.838] I have my books section listed [00:21:19.848] here. And for this, I've got a Peterson's [00:21:22.269] AC T prep guide ebook [00:21:24.588] and they'll be able to download this ebook. [00:21:32.150] Here we go. And of course it downloads in the browser. [00:21:34.328] They can save it to their desktop or wherever they want [00:21:36.479] to save it to. And again, it is a complete [00:21:39.410] ebook here. You'll see this one's 1000 pages. [00:21:41.660] So it's a, it's a big hefty ebook, but they [00:21:43.759] can go through [00:21:45.068] whatever section they need to access [00:21:47.759] to learn about that section here. [00:21:53.189] And again, they can choose to download it, save [00:21:55.529] it wherever they want it to go. It's [00:21:57.779] ready to go for them. [00:22:00.019] We can also add these ebooks to my [00:22:02.199] resources as well. [00:22:04.549] Maybe just add a few things so you can see what that looks [00:22:06.660] like. So if they know [00:22:08.689] they want to take a look at this HCT stuff [00:22:11.000] and they don't have time right now. Add [00:22:13.500] to my resources, we can click in at any [00:22:15.559] point of top here. [00:22:17.979] I've got a few other things saved here [00:22:20.108] as well. [00:22:22.500] But you'll see, I've got my ac T saved [00:22:24.529] right here. I previously [00:22:26.650] saved a different biology prep [00:22:28.699] exam prep [00:22:31.279] and I can click back into any of these whenever [00:22:33.410] I need to. You'll see, I can also save [00:22:35.670] schools, scholarships and jobs. [00:22:37.930] But the my resources section, that's where [00:22:39.989] they're going to find any testing that they've saved. [00:22:47.910] We've got about five minutes and I've not [00:22:49.949] seen any questions come in. We've got a very [00:22:52.009] quiet group today, but I'd love for [00:22:54.078] you to type your questions in the Q and A for me. [00:22:56.338] I've got some wrap up information. [00:22:58.598] Looks like we have a quick question. [00:23:00.949] Um, about the ebooks. Can they highlight [00:23:03.269] sections, paragraphs, et cetera? And the ebook is there [00:23:05.439] in any interactivity? [00:23:07.140] Um, unfortunately, there's not, it does download [00:23:09.479] as a PDF. So if [00:23:11.729] they can edit PDF S, um they can certainly [00:23:14.000] highlight it that way using like a, you [00:23:16.098] know, their Adobe products or anything like that. But [00:23:18.459] um we don't include like any tools you find [00:23:20.559] in other gale resources or anything like that in the [00:23:22.618] download because it does download as a, a standard [00:23:25.098] PDF file. [00:23:35.078] Lets go ahead and take a jump back here. [00:23:37.930] So just as a wrap up, if you have more questions [00:23:40.358] about gale persons, Peterson's test in [00:23:42.459] queer prep, or if you maybe want to talk [00:23:44.509] about how you can best utilize it in your learning learning [00:23:46.818] community because of course everyone's is different. [00:23:49.180] You all have different users. If you want [00:23:51.199] to be a little more specific to talk about it, [00:23:53.259] related to your learning community, [00:23:55.529] reach out to your customer success manager. [00:23:57.618] If you haven't talked to them yet, feel free to email [00:24:00.160] gale.customersuccess@cengage.com [00:24:02.170] we'll forward you to the correct individual [00:24:04.680] and then you can talk specifics about the resource [00:24:07.180] about how you can promote it to your learning [00:24:09.318] community, maybe how you could train your staff, [00:24:11.459] whatever you need to talk about. [00:24:13.680] If right now, you don't have access to this [00:24:15.789] resource and you want to talk about that, you can reach [00:24:17.920] out to your sales consultant. If you don't know who [00:24:20.098] that is, you can just go to [00:24:22.209] support.gale.com/repfinder [00:24:24.630] We'll forward you to correct individual [00:24:26.949] there. You'll put in your information and we'll give you that [00:24:29.049] contacts name [00:24:31.068] and we also have some premade training [00:24:33.318] and support materials ready to go for you. So [00:24:35.420] if you want to promote this to your library [00:24:37.500] staff or maybe to your learning community [00:24:39.880] as a whole, we've got things like flyers, [00:24:42.660] short tutorials, bookmarks, [00:24:45.559] tip sheets, resource guides. The [00:24:47.750] list goes on and on. So I would suggest [00:24:49.890] if you are planning on getting this out and you want [00:24:51.989] to give your learning community [00:24:54.239] some information, take a look [00:24:56.250] at support.gale.com. We have quite [00:24:58.588] a bit there for you [00:25:00.660] and I do have a session survey if you have [00:25:02.818] the time to take it, got about four minutes [00:25:04.969] left. So hopefully you wouldn't mind taking it [00:25:07.049] with those four minutes. Just [00:25:09.209] let us know that we're covering everything you need. [00:25:11.289] And if we're not, we would love to have suggestions [00:25:13.430] to make sure these sessions [00:25:15.479] are valuable for your time. I appreciate [00:25:17.795] everyone for being on the line. If you have additional [00:25:19.924] questions like Megan that you need answered. [00:25:22.505] Feel free to send me an email after [00:25:24.594] the session and I'll be able to answer those for you [00:25:26.914] again. Thanks for being here everyone. Hopefully [00:25:29.164] we'll see you all on future sessions.
